Concerning the disposition of the asset alibabas.org
The Association of Alibabas, a body of affiliated domain chapters convened under AH LLC — Strategic Domains, met in special session to consider the standing of the asset alibabas.org, presently unassigned to any chapter and held open for acquisition.
Whereas the .org designation is understood by members of the public to signal an established, mission-bearing organization; and whereas no chapter presently occupies this name;
the floor was opened for discussion and, finding none opposed, the following agenda was taken up.
Reading of the Asset's Standing
The Secretary reported that alibabas.org is registered, unencumbered, and ready for immediate transfer. No liens, disputes, or prior claims were noted in the record.
Report on Purpose & Fitness
Members noted that a name reading as "the Alibabas" — paired with the .org suffix — is naturally suited to a foundation, guild, cooperative, fan association, or any body organized around a shared name or cause. The .org suffix carries an implicit assumption of legitimacy that .com does not.
Motion to Transfer the Asset
A motion was made to release alibabas.org from the Association's holdings to a qualified acquirer, on terms to be negotiated directly with the Office of the Secretary.
